We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our dynamic, growing business.
 

We are seeking a Restaurant Manager capable of leading, inspiring and improving our team of skilled professionals, of growing our business through strategic planning and ongoing creative development, and of maintaining the highest possible service standards and cultural workplace practices. 

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • at least 3 years of experience in a similar role

  • experience and expertise across a broad range of hospitality settings including fine-dining, bistro, wine bar and retail environments

  • WSET qualifications and/or several years of practical experience working with wine

  • demonstrated capability in managing a 300+ bottle wine list

  • a passion for organic farming and additive free winemaking

  • several years of experience with rostering, costing, and inventory management

  • strong financial acumen and advanced computing skills

  • extremely effective communication skills

  • dedication to progressive, kind and inclusive management

  • experience with HR systems and procedures, including the hiring and training of new staff

  • sound understanding of liquor licensing laws and obligations
     

Qualifications or experience not necessary for the role but that will be viewed favourably:

  • tertiary degree

  • experience working in wine or hospitality industries in Europe

  • experience working within a restaurant environment specialising in organic local produce and/or organically farmed, additive free wine
     

Responsibilities and tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • planning menus in consultation with the kitchen team

  • planning and organising functions, masterclasses and events

  • purchasing and pricing of beverage and goods within budget

  • maintaining inventory and records of stock levels

  • invoicing and financial recording

  • ensuring dining facilities are beautifully presented & maintained to the highest possible health standards

  • leading relationships with our guests and customers to maintain the highest possible level of guest satisfaction

  • interviewing, hiring, training and supervising floor and kitchen staff

  • ongoing management of reservations and reservation systems
