l'egrappille (R)TI 2021
Auvergne, France
Sauvignon Blanc
ABV: 13.5%
Really really good. Negociant fruit from Minervois in the Languedoc.
In 2021, Catherine lost a substantial amount of fruit due to weather and was delighted to be offered a small amount of very high quality fruit from a well regarded organic grower in Minervois. This sunny Lanquedoc appellation is known for producing elegant, plush red wines and medium bodied whites.
(R)ti is 100% sauvignon and is a very different style and shape of white wine to the ones that Catherine grows in the Auvergne. This is broad and savoury with great concentration and is a truly brilliant match for so many different styles of food.
For a great time, serve at around 8-9C and enjoy with light pastas based on white meat and or vegetables.
