Corentin Houillon grew up in a milieu of Jura winemaking royalty, learning about wine from his uncle Emmanuel as well as Pierre Overnoy and, later, Dominique Derain in Burgundy.
Today, Corentin farms 5 hectares of steep vineyards in the Savoie, an alpine region south of the Jura nestled among the mountainous Swiss border. The glacial soil here is a complex mix of sandstone, quartz and Jurassic limestone.
This cuvee is 100% gamay. It’s a classical style, deep and mineral with a compact core of dark red fruit.
