Damien Bureau Paloma 2022
Anjou, France
Grolleau, Pineau d’Aunis, Gamay
11.5% ABV.
A delicious blend of grolleau, pineau d’aunis and gamay from Anjou vigneron Damien Bureau.
Damien’s holdings started with a small vineyard handed over to him by Sebastien “Babass” Dervieux (originally belonging to Domaine des Griottes) and have slowly grown to a total of 2.5 hectares spread across a few sites, mostly planted to Chenin Blanc.
These varieties were vinified separately as whole bunches for a short period before being pressed off and eventually blended, resulting in a light, bright and gently mineral red wine with delicious primary fruit and beautifully aromatic and peppery varietal spice from the sandy soils.
