A field blend with a good proportion of cabernet franc, all grown on a single site of 40 year-old vines in Seville planted over sandy clay loam, and vinified with a portion of whole bunches before being run to old oak for elevage.
This is light-to-medium bodied and pale red in the glass, with sweet and pretty red and black fruits mixed with gentle varietal herbaceousness. The acidity is perfectly placed and the tannic structure is gentle, making the wine appropriate for serving at a slightly cooler temperature, if the mood strikes.
