This is medium-bodied, dark and intense, albeit with lovely fresh acidity, and with fleshy primary fruit in the mid-palate and peppery varietal spice. A slightly serious cool-climate style which is very well-suited to the dinner table.
John Nagorcka is the fourth generation of his family to farm this property, with the family having migrated here from Germany in the mid-19th century. Starting with livestock, vegetables and cereal crops before adding 25 acres of vineyards in the 1990s, the family has always farmed in accordance with biodynamic principles and today are Demeter-certified.
These wines are always brimming with concentrated, flavourful fruit, and are very precisely made.
