Malbec and merlot from a parcel planted in 1979 in Duravel, just east of Louis and Charlotte’s winery on the Lot River near Cahors. This site has some of the limestone typical of the area but also a slightly higher clay content.
2020 is an excellent, cool and low-yielding year, with tremendous concentration and freshness. This is medium-bodied, with dark and fleshy primary fruit and tannin in the mid-palate, some minerality, and abundant acidity.
