From North Canterbury, Aotearoa, this comes from a vineyard established in 2011 by the Naish-Brown family and their team. The site is certified organic with vines planted over sedimentary clay. The fruit was direct-pressed and saw fermentation and elevage in barrel.
This is medium-bodied and bright with varietal flavours of white flowers, orchard fruit, honey and wax, accentuated by well-judged acidity, chalky texture and subtle leesy flavours. Pure, classical and precise, with complexity and restraint, this is tasting great now and is a great proposition for the cellar too.
