CDVA Chants Vibratoirs 2022

A$94.00

Marchampt, Beaujolais, France Chardonnay musqué   ABV: 12.5%

One of the most fascinating wine producers in all of France and maybe anywhere in the world - Conservatoire Des Vignes Anciennes. Cyril and Karine Alonso are situated in the commune of Marchampt in Beaujolais. The vineyard here is home to over 140 varieties of vitis vinifera as well as a number of wild non-vinifera varieties, all of which are used to create wonderfully distinctive, expressive and stable wines.

The 2021 Chants Vibratoirs is made from a distinctly aromatic chardonnay clone (musqué meaning musky i.e. aromatic). This is a beautifully balanced cuvée with lightly tropical notes, grapefruit zest and lovely, bright lactic acidity which gives a pleasant weight. Remarkably elegant wine. Really beautiful for roast chicken or creamy cheese.
