La Perdida A Seara 2019
Galicia, Spain
Field Blend
12.5% ABV.
A field blend of 60% red (mouratón, mencía, garnacha tintorera) and 40% white grapes (godello, palomino, doña blanca) harvested together and cofermented, with elevage in old barrels.
Nacho Gonzales works with a number of old (and often previously abandoned) sites in the Valdeorras region of Galicia to create his minuscule production of bottles every year.
This is tart yet deep, with various shades of red and white fruit and a polished tannic structure – all of which make it particularly enjoyable to drink chilled, around 9-10°C.
