Sylvain Martinez Corbeau 2013

A$95.00

Loire Valley, France
Grolleau
13% ABV.

100% grolleau from a cool year, this is now over 10 years old and entering a wonderful stage of its evolution.

Sylvain Martinez makes some of our favourite wines on the planet. The reds are all grown on sand and tend to have wonderfully peppery aromatics as a result, with minerality from the skins and finesse from time in barrel.

This comes from a cooler, slightly higher-acid year, which after 10 years is still keeping the wine wonderfully fresh, with strikingly pure dark grapey fruit framed by a silken and polished tannic structure.

This is a real collector’s item and we’re very pleased to still have a few bottles kicking around.
