Rasa Little Liar 2022
Barossa, South Australia
Grenache, Cinsault
13% ABV.
Andrew Cummins crafts wonderful expressions of Barossa varieties, channeling his love of the region’s history into delicious, varietal and very well-made bottlings made with fruit from a handful of excellent organic vineyards.
This is a blend of grenache and cinsault, grown on deep sand over orange clay. There’s a pretty, fragrant and lightly peppery aroma – which we very much associate with red wines grown on sand – and a spiced and red-fruited palate with a delicious, subtle notion of soil. The acidity is nice and fresh but not too high, and the tannin is quite minimal, making this very easy indeed to drink, particularly when served a few degrees below room temperature.
