We are loving every wine from Tomas Torres this vintage - they’re truly beaming with fruit, flavour and straight up unadulterated deliciousness. Winemaker and farmer Vicent Tomas has a beautiful vineyard come garden come farm, nestled in a magic corner of the world somewhere pretty close to Valencia. I imagine the fruit trees, olives trees and animals are all feeling pretty smug here. There’s three factors that really tie these wines up in a bow of brilliance. Firstly, the soils are largely limestone. Secondly, the fruit is drenched in spanish sun. Thirdly, Vicent’s touch is gentle, skilled and loving. This harmonious trifecta perfectly captures wines that are just as ripe and rich as they are refreshing and the value is just as equally sweet and seductive. These wines are destined to be shared and splashed around large tables, under a big sun and with the people you love.
Al Tall Barrica is from direct pretty tortose and aged in old barrels. It’s super textural and strikes a beautiful sweet spot between fruity and savoury as well as every so slightly herbaceous and salty. A red appled, yellow orchard fruit, white blossom dream.
