Rasa Sal 2022

A$46.00

Barossa, South Australia
Semillon
12% ABV.

Andrew Cummins crafts wonderful expressions of Barossa varieties, channeling his love of the region’s history into delicious, varietal and very well-made bottlings made with fruit from a handful of excellent organic vineyards.

This is semillon which spent a year in barrel and a year in bottle before release. Pale gold in the glass, there is an immediate notion of lightly oxidative handling, with layers of aromatic richness resting upon the restrained tropical fruit. There’s subtle creamy lees influence, with some light grassiness on the back-palate lending refreshment, and with great balance between fresh fruit character and more savoury nuance from the time in barrel.

This is very well-made and we recommend it highly.
